A story of friendship tween possum and child
The child would play while the possum would hide
He’d hide through the day and at night would run wild
And one day the child a letter compiled

Addressed to his noisy nocturnal roof friend
it sparked up a friendship that would see no end
now with an agreement to promptly defend
the trees and the attics on which they depend

This book’s about letters they sent to each other
and all of the things they would then soon discover
what food do you eat? What do you do in summer?
and now you can read it to sister or brother.

We had some noisy possums in our roof that were giving the kids a bit of a fright, and it took a while before they accepted my “it’s just possums” explanation. This poem is an attempt to shine some light on our furry friends and dispel the mystery around why we can hear skittering and jumping late into the night.

This edition of the book is a softcover, perfect bound (which means it has like a squared off spine as opposed to a folded over spine) and is roughly A4 in size. Inner pages are 110 GSM so the book has a high quality feel to it.
